Jets Open $75M Training Facility

"FLORHAM PARK, NJ-The New York Jets have officially opened their new training facility here, ending 30 years of training on the campus of Hofstra University on Long Island. Totaling 218,000 sf on two floors, encompassing five practice football fields and built at a cost of $75 million, the complex is nearly double the size of the former facility.

The complex, dubbed the Atlantic Health Jets Training Center after its naming rights were sold, is part of the Jets’ and New York Giants’ deal with the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority for a new stadium to house the two teams within the Meadowlands Sports Complex. The $1.3-billion venue replacing the existing Giants Stadium will be co-owned by the two teams on land leased from the NJSEA, and is slated for completion in time for the 2010 season." ...
