"Sept. 26 (Bloomberg) -- The new California Academy of Sciences, opening tomorrow in San Francisco, is the most spectacular museum to be built on the U.S. West Coast in a very long time.

The vast, rectangular steel-and-glass building is designed by Italian architect Renzo Piano in an elegant, high-tech style. It's stuffed with exhibits about life in all its variety: exotic fish in aquarium pools, a rain forest growing in a 90-foot-tall glass sphere, dinosaur and whale skeletons, a living coral reef that will support 3,000 fish, stuffed African antelope in old- fashioned dioramas and a planetarium show that takes the visitor to outer space." ...
