Mayview zoning change aims to spur redevelopment

"South Fayette commissioners Monday night changed the Mayview State Hospital property from residential to business park zoning, paving the way for redevelopment after the hospital is closed and the property sold.
Township Manager Mike Hoy also is drafting two new zoning designations for the 300-acre property along Chartiers Creek.
One is a recreational zoning, geared for a portion of the property bordering Fairview Park; the other is a village commercial concept, which would mix business and residential uses to create an old-fashioned town center with modern amenities." ...
