Brazil Economy Expanded Above 5 Percent, Mantega Says (Update2)

"March 7 (Bloomberg) -- Brazil's economy probably expanded more than 5 percent in 2007, indicating it remained unscathed by the global credit rout that has affected economies worldwide, Finance Minister Guido Mantega said.
Economic growth in Brazil was ``something between'' 5.2 percent and 5.3 percent in 2007, Mantega said in a speech in Rio de Janeiro. That would be the fastest pace since 5.7 percent in 2004." ....
