WWA's 2006 Development and Expansion Guide should be here soon. Quickly following on its heels will be the new CD for High Volume Retailers.
On the news front:
Business Week (11/6) has an interesting piece on using Indian Country as a locale for "rural sourcing" rather than outsourcing for corporate America. The specific case study is of the Umatilla (OR) and Accenture liason. This issue of BW also features a look at housing "bursts" and trends in the housing market, and a piece on suburban foxhunting outside of Chicago.
Tradeshow Week's (10/30) "Destination Focus" was the Midwest with predictions of future growth and a table of the region's busiest facilities {#1: Donald E. Stephens CC in Rosemont, IL -- it beat out Chicago's McCormick Plance by 2 shows in 2006}
CP&DR (Oct) did it's "Local Watch" on Chula Vista looking at the planned convention enter, hotels, and high-rises.
Golf Business and Real Estate (10/16) leads with a article asking the ever so pertinent question: "If Housing Busts, Would Golf Go with It?" Their answer: Heistant. afterall, they say, golf is already slumping, but all the golf developers say there's nothing to worry about.
