Ski Areas Report Increased Revenues for the 2007/08 Season
"With increased revenues in all major sales areas, the U.S. ski area financial results for the 2007/08 season improved over a strong 2006/07 season. According to the 2007/08 Economic Analysis of U.S. Ski Areas produced for the National Ski Areas Association (NSAA), overall average resort revenue grew 11.4% to $26.0 million per resort.
Life tickets remain the primary driver of ski area revenue. The average resort reported life ticket sales of $12.1 million in revenue in 2007/08, up 11.3% nationally. The average proportion of total revenue derived from lift ticket sales was 46.5% industry-wide, flat from the previous year."...
