Canadian housing starts maintain uptrend
"Canadian housing starts continued to rise in November, but by a smaller-than-expected 0.7% to an annualized 158,500 units. Expectations had been for starts to rise to 160,000. However, the increase does extend a general upward trend in this indicator from a recent trough in April of 118,500 as builders respond to falling inventories of unsold homes and consumers take advantage of low mortgage rates." ...
